all the glory you are yet to be

let us take an oath

to embrace the unexpected visitors

the laughter, sadness,

and the little awareness

to entertain, love

and

care for them

even if it is sorrow

that steals all that is ours

let us take an oath

to greet that self-doubt, dark thoughts

and chagrin

ever so gracefully

for each of these visitors

are our blessing in disguise

sent by the one above

let us take an oath

to be grateful

for they are here

to make room

for all the glory you are yet to be
